STAKEHOLDER & USER GROUP MANAGEMENT
Engagement and management of stakeholders in any project is key to not only the final success of the project but also to a seamless process of seeking input and reaching agreements on key items within the project that allow the design and whole project to progress. If not managed properly, input and key messages can be lost and stakeholders are left feeling frustrated, that their precious time is being wasted, and that their input is unheard.

Briefing stakeholders at to what their role actually is, is critically important and often overlooked or assumed. By understanding what their role is within the project and understanding the process, stakeholders are able to provide considered input in a more timely fashion and also consult and communicate with a wider group of colleagues. This allows for a more structured engagement and ensures appropriate input at relevant points within the project.

With several members of the team coming from architectural, client-side, and major construction company backgrounds, often on large and complex projects with large numbers of stakeholders, we are well versed in engaging with stakeholders. This is critical to ensure interfaces are managed and input is received, understood and incorporated, the results fed back, and feedback sought on an ongoing basis.

We also have experience of stakeholder management on large projects with multiple external stakeholder groups such as Public Art, Public Spaces, Integration of adjacent transportation hubs, and engagement of a variety of different community groups.

Project User Groups are a very familiar aspect to all our team members and are particularly relevant to complex and technical projects with multiple interested parties or departments and very detailed departmental and functional requirements such as hospitals and other healthcare facilities, mental health, aged care and university and school projects.

We are able to plan, program, chair, and minute project user groups on both large and small projects and have extensive experience in doing this on major Hospital Projects with large numbers of different functional groups being managed through multiple rounds at Concept, Schematic and Detailed design stages of the project. The management of this should not be underestimated.
